Step by step process in how I did the Scouter Portrait painting.

...too lazy to do an official tutorial with brushes and layers and stuff...but it can always be useful to see the process. :D

Did you do the early stages on paper or on your computer? I envy that even your early sketches look awesome; mine usually look pretty not-so-good until I really buckle down and clean them up (though I don't feel too bad; I've seen some of Wendy Pini's idea sketches and they can be pretty messy, too :phew: ). Excellent job :D.

Oh, and I've always been a Skywise girl myself . And I always thought One-Eye was pretty damn attractive too ;)

I'm 100% digital now, but some of my earlier work in my dA gallery isn't. One of the best things I did learning how to sketch on a computer. Saves me having to lug around a scanner everywhere.

Hey! I LOVE it when artists post these step by step thingies! It's so great to see how people arrive at the final outcome (which by the way looks great :D ). I especially like the second sketch ... you could've gone anywhere from there ... Scouter, Legolas ... anywhere :P

RED!

*glomp*

I was actually really lucky with this one. There's usually more drama from me in the sketch stage. ---I guess I felt pressure cuz I knew I was going to post the stages of this. lol
